Ontrac Profibus DP with 2 Channels Redundancy in SA

Ontrac Profibus DPV1/V2 actuators are used at Palaborwa Mining Company(PMC) in South Africa. All Ontrac PROFIBUS actuators have two slave bus lines now, primary slave and backup slave. 

Backup slave had same address as primary slave. Master may communicate with backup slave. In PMC copper mining, these actuators work with Siemens PCS 7 Function Block.

Remarks:Palabora has been in operation since it was incorporated in 1956 and is South Africa's only producer of refined copper. Producing about 60,000 tonnes of refined copper per year, the company supplies most of South Africa's copper needs and exports the balance.
