In South Africa, Hoxane Water treatment is currently upgrading the old section–Automation of new and existing valves with Ontrac fieldbus electrical actuators.

It is expected to be completed in 2017. Once commissioned, the regional scheme is intended to serve 183 000 people within Bushbuckridge South and 250 000 people in Nsikazi North within Mbombela Local Municipality.
